Ultimate Survival + English
For 2018, we have teamed up with Ultimate Survival to offer an outdoor programme with English Lessons.
This day camp course is a fun and adventurous option for children aged 7 to 14 years, who will have the chance to be fully-immersed in the natural environment, trying new outdoor activities all delivered in English and making new friends! The English Lessons are two hours each day, after which the children will be integrated with local English children to experience the real outdoors.
Get ready for a wild adventure where children will become ‘ranger cadets’, working in teams to build shelters, make fires and enjoy wilderness cooking! Children will enjoy a wide range of bushcraft activities, challenges and team-building games and exotic animal encounters.
Children will experience working together and putting teamwork into practice in an island escape scenario. Children will experience how to survive on a deserted island by constructing shelters, cooking & eating wilderness food, trying archery and working out how to escape the island!
Young survivors are grouped into ‘tribes’ and take part in engaging Survival Games and fun team-based games. From base building, obstacle challenges to fire starting, wild cooking and team games, children will enjoy a brilliant mix of bushcraft activities and team challenges!
IMPROVE ENGLISH SKILLS
Each day, our international children split off from the activity programme to do 2 hours of English tuition. This allows students to develop new skills as well as confidence in their own ability, communicating with qualified teachers inside the classroom, and with native speakers their own age for the rest of the day.
Delivered by qualified EFL teachers, lessons will reinforce the practice that the children get from the integration with English children, working on vocabulary, conversation, pronunciation and other aspects of English.
- Every student receives a minimum of 15 hours of English tuition per week
